Job summary

Responsibilities

• Move materials up to 9016 with assistance and 5016 independently in order to load and unload machines.
• Load and unload coils on respective machines, visually inspect material before processing, and follow all operating procedures.
• Make all the necessary operating adjustments to equipment; visually inspect of strip for flatness, freedom from ripples or distortion, proper color conditions and conformity to all other specifications.
• Operate welder to join strip end and anneal strip ends whenever necessary.
• Weigh finished coils after each operation, load coils onto proper skid.
• Property and accurately maintain all required documentation.
• Meet productivity and scrap goals.
• Perform all quality, process, and product inspections throughout entire coils runs in accordance to procedures and work instructions.
• Use all measurement instrumentation to inspect and release all blade types.
• Detect defective material, unusual conditions, operating difficulties, or out of specification operating settings and report to team leader or supervision.
• Be able to run multiple machines simultaneously.
• Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a Clean and Safe condition at all times.
• Be able to work in a high temperature environment.
• Any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
