Job summary

The City of Central Point is hiring Utility Worker I in our Streets Division. These full-time, hands-on roles support maintenance, repair, and improvement of the City's infrastructure and require reliable team players who enjoy outdoor work.

Position requires eligibility to live within 45 minutes of 235 S. Haskell St., valid driver's license, and obtaining CDL A within ten months, plus CPR/First Aid, Flagger and ATSSA TCT certifications. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) with basic math, reading and writing skills at a 12th grade level.
• Some manual labor or general construction experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable record at hire. Obtain unrestricted CDL "A" with endorsements within ten months of hire (City paid training).
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid (6 months), Flagger certification (10 months), ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) (18 months).
