The position supports a public works department with a structured progression from I to III, requiring appropriate licenses and certifications. Schedule is in-person, with shift variations in winter months.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to the twelfth grade or higher and experience in streets/ drainage maintenance.
• Possession of a Colorado driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to obtain city insurance coverage.
• Streets Technician II requires Class B CDL and certifications (Flagger, Forklift).
• Streets Technician III requires Road Scholar I and proficiency with street maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform street maintenance and repair duties including crack sealing, pothole patching, and curb/rail installations.
• Operate light and heavy equipment used in street maintenance and snow/ice control.
• Assist in snow removal, set up traffic control, and maintain inventory and shop areas.
