Job summary

City of Flagstaff is hiring two Streets Operations Technician II to maintain and improve the City’s transportation infrastructure. You will perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on streets, signs, sidewalks, and drainage, and support Snow Operations to keep roadways safe during winter.

The role requires hands-on leadership, mentoring others, and ability to read work orders, track performance, and work with asset management systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of laborer experience in construction, building, or landscaping trades.
• Two years of proficient heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Class B CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs construction, maintenance and repair work on streets, easements, curbs, sidewalks, and drainage.
• Operates a range of street equipment and heavy machinery.
• Reads and completes work orders; maintains reports and reviews plans.
• Aids and supports training to promote skills within the Streets section.
• Participates in snow operations and other Streets section activities.
