Job summary

The City of Commerce City invites applicants for an entry-level Streets Operations Technician. You’ll receive hands-on training while helping maintain infrastructure from streets to drainage systems in a role that supports community connectivity.

Starting salary is dependent on experience with a hiring range of $23.51 to $26.12 per hour. Benefits include health and wellness coverage, retirement match, and more. CDL-B within 3 months, Flagger cert within 1 year, high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Some municipal maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license; CDL Class B required within three months of hire and maintained.
• Flagger certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic street maintenance and repair tasks for streets, sidewalks, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing essential infrastructure under supervision.
• Receive hands-on training and contribute to city projects in a team environment.

Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license. Must obtain a Commercial Driver's License Class "B" within three months of date of hire and maintain during the course of employment. Flagger certification is required within one year of hire and must be maintained during the course of employment. Other applicable certifications may be required at City expense. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
