Job summary

The City of Espanola seeks a skilled laborer under the Streets Supervisor to assist with construction and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and storm drains, and to install and maintain traffic control signs and pavement markings.

You will perform a range of skilled and unskilled tasks as required, contributing to safe and efficient city infrastructure projects while working in a hands-on, local setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years related experience and/or training in a laborer position.
• Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License and be insurable by the City’s vehicle insurance provider.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction and maintenance work on City streets, roads, sidewalks, and storm drains.
• Install and maintain traffic control signs, pavement markings, and other non-electrical traffic control devices; perform a series of skilled and unskilled tasks.
