Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking an entry-level Streetlight Technician to install and maintain streetlights. This role requires no prior experience; we provide paid on-the-job training and a weekly pay schedule.

The outdoor position uses company tools, PPE, and safety protocols. You will operate bucket trucks and other equipment, follow safety standards, manage assignments and equipment, and coordinate with teams during emergency storm work.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Weather-permitting; 40-hour workweek; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain streetlights from aerial devices.
• Identify underground hazards and repair faults.
• Operate heavy equipment safely (dig derrick, bucket trucks).
• Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Maintain logs and coordinate with partners and traffic control.
