Job summary

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is hiring a Street Sweeper Operator to work the day shift as part of the Streets Sweeping Crew. The role operates and maintains street sweepers to clean city streets curb to curb, with additional snow and ice removal duties.

This is a full-time, benefited position with a base salary range noted below and requires a Class B CDL for eligibility. Applicants should have 0-2 years of related experience, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Requires Class B CDL and ability to pass DOT drug test and physical.
• 0-2 years related experience, minimum age 18.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains a range of heavy equipment including street sweepers and other listed machinery.
• Patch broken pavement and remove debris from roadways.
• Assist with traffic control and maintain pavement markings as needed.
• Perform snow removal and operate snow removal equipment.
• Record daily work data in a computer system.
• Perform general building and equipment maintenance.
• May train or supervise other operators; may require shift work or emergency responses.
