Job summary

City of Villa Rica is seeking a Streets Department worker to perform a range of outdoor maintenance duties. The role emphasizes heavy manual labor, operation of heavy equipment, and adherence to safety protocols while serving residents.

The professional will participate in street, sidewalk, and stormwater maintenance, install signage, assist with traffic control, and support emergency response efforts. Outdoor work with variable weather is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with public and City employees.
• Must follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in street, sidewalk, and stormwater maintenance.
• Constructs Right of Way improvement projects and installs street name markers and signs.
• Operates heavy equipment and performs equipment maintenance.
• Assist with traffic control and winter weather operations including snow plowing.
• Provide support during emergencies and protect essential services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
