Job summary

Duties include patching, grading, concrete work, traffic control setup, and operating hand and pneumatic tools while keeping records. Must have a High School diploma or GED and a Texas Class C driver's license; able to lift up to 100 pounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of work zone safety, traffic control, and job site setup.
• Experience with street, sidewalk, and storm sewer maintenance.
• Ability to operate light and heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain clear records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of City streets, curbs, sidewalks, and storm sewer systems.
• Perform patching, sealing, grading, and concrete work as assigned.
• Set up traffic control and safety signage to ensure work zone safety.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment including hand and pneumatic tools.
• Read safety manuals and follow PPE requirements.
• Communicate with team and public; maintain good working relationships.
• Attend to emergency call-outs and perform other duties as assigned.
