Job summary

VOALA is seeking an Outreach Specialist in the Los Angeles area to promote programs, support crisis intervention, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. The position is on-site and involves community outreach, case management, housing referrals, and financial counseling.

The role requires aBachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field (or four years of equivalent experience) and at least two years’ experience with justice-involved or homeless populations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field; or four years’ equivalent experience.
• Two years’ experience working with Justice Involved Populations, people in recovery and/or homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Provide street outreach, engagement, crisis stabilization, trauma-informed case management, and referrals.
• Assist with intake assessments, crisis intervention, and housing placement for participants.
• Maintain client records, daily logs, and HMIS; support holistic service approaches and life skills workshops.
