Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) is seeking a Housing Specialist to identify housing options for program participants, coordinate move-ins, and connect tenants with landlords and community resources. The role requires one year of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in social services, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks
• Experience in housing services or case management is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate housing options for program participants and assist with move-in
• Develop housing database linking tenants to apartments and coordinate with landlords
• Coordinate referrals, services, and community resources to support permanent housing
• Assist case managers with assessments and development of Individual Service Plans
• Ensure on-site service delivery and participate in community outreach
