Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain a CDL-B with air brakes during probation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs City streets and right-of-ways using equipment.
• Patches streets, sidewalks, curbs, inlets and alleys with appropriate materials.
• Operates dump truck, asphalt screed, concrete finisher, tractor and other equipment; prepares work orders.
• Removes debris from streets, sidewalks, parking lots, drains and alleys.
• Trims and clears trees, leaves and brush with chain saws and chippers.
• Flags traffic at street construction sites.
• May be called for emergency work outside regular shifts.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
