Desoto Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, and storm drains. Responsibilities include concrete work, drainage repairs, traffic control, and equipment maintenance. Flexible hours and on-call duties may apply.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and effective communication while contributing to city infrastructure upkeep and emergency responses.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
No experience required; related maintenance and/or construction experience preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; report traffic citations promptly.
Residence within 30-minute response time from City of DeSoto Service Center.

Responsibilities

Pour, spread, and level concrete; form work; asphalt paving; sod laying; cleanup of job site.
Repair inlet boxes, storm pipes, guardrails, and drainage structures; assist with grading alleys.
Direct traffic and ensure site safety; operate light equipment as needed.
Maintain vehicles and equipment; respond to emergencies; support events as required.
