The City of Lenexa is actively hiring for a full-time Street Maintenance Worker I to join the Municipal Services (Public Works) team. This entry-level role maintains Lenexa’s street infrastructure, with on-the-job training and opportunities to earn CDL.

Expect a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours for events or snow emergencies. Training is provided to advance along the career track, with diverse duties from paving and sidewalk work to snow removal and equipment

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED or two years of construction-related experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements and Work Zone Safety Certification (Flagger) or obtain within 180 days.
• Ability to perform medium physical work and operate machinery safely.
• Willingness to work outdoors and tolerate extreme weather.

Responsabilidades

• Milling, removal, crack sealing and pothole repairs on roadways.
• Concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter repair and replacement.
• Snow and ice removal on city roadways and parking lots.
• Operate trucks and heavy equipment and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Respond to snow/ice emergencies including weekends and holidays.
