Job summary

City of Hickory is seeking a Street Maintenance Supervisor to lead a crew and oversee concrete, storm drainage and street maintenance projects. You will operate heavy equipment and train new employees in construction techniques and safety.

The role may require overtime; a high school diploma and a valid NC Class C driver's license are required; Class B CDL preferred. Salary depends on qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years’ experience in related work.
• Valid NC Class C driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of street construction, maintenance, and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in maintenance of city streets.
• Operate equipment required for duties.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Prepare daily work reports and conduct on-site inspections.
• Assist in special events and pothole repairs.
