Job summary

Equans is seeking a General Operative to support the Kent LED street lighting contract from Sittingbourne depot. You will install, repair and maintain lighting assets, carry out fault finding and electrical checks, and adhere to strict safety standards on busy highways.

We welcome candidates with GCSEs, ECS card, and BS7671 qualifications, plus experience with hand tools, test equipment and working at height. A full UK driving licence is essential and a permanent contract awaits.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (Grade 4/C or above).
• ECS Card and full UK driving licence are required.
• BS7671 Level 2/3 and electrical test & inspection qualifications are expected.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain street lighting assets including columns and lanterns.
• Carry out fault finding and basic electrical checks.
• Follow safety policies, risk assessments and method statements for highway work.
