Job summary

Electra Grid Solutions in Georgia is seeking a Lighting Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair indoor and outdoor lighting systems, ensuring safety and code compliance. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and occasional travel to various sites.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, prefer experience in lighting maintenance, and be willing to obtain a DOT medical card and a CDL if needed. OT, nights, and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Lighting Technician or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, lighting components, and safety protocols.
• Certification in electrical maintenance or related field is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass drug screening, alcohol test, background check, and MVR check.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods in various locations.
• Available to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of lighting systems to identify issues and potential improvements.
• Perform routine maintenance, including bulb replacement, fixture cleaning, and minor electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning lighting fixtures, ballasts, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and restore systems to proper working condition.
• Replace outdated or faulty lighting components and assist with system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment specifications.
• Communicate with clients to understand lighting needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate bucket trucks for elevated work (up to 40 ft).
• Follow all company safety protocols and participate in safety training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Use of hand and power tools involving substantial hand, wrist, and finger movement.
• Must be able to wear and operate all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
