Job summary

Department of Transportation in New York City is seeking a Transportation Specialist to support the Street Improvement Projects (SIP) program within the Office of Livable Streets. The SIP-Central team coordinates guidelines, scheduling, and prioritization across multiple divisions to align resurfacing, signal construction, and state-of-good-repair work with project delivery.

The selected candidate will manage priorities, communicate with stakeholders, use SIP Portal and GIS tools to track SIPs

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in relevant fields.
  • Bachelor's degree with specified experience, per qualifications.
  • Associate or high school pathway with required years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across multiple workstreams and schedules.
  • Oversee roadway resurfacing, capital projects, and infrastructure.
  • Manage tracking and prioritization of SIPs with stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with state of good repair and signal construction plans.
  • Use GIS/databases to monitor SIP locations and updates.
