The City of Stephenville is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator in the Street Department. The role operates under the Street Superintendent and supports maintenance of streets and drainage infrastructure.

Responsibilities include operating equipment such as shovel, dump truck, loader, backhoe and roller, performing repairs, flagging traffic, and responding to urgent maintenance requests in and out of hours when on call. A valid Texas CDL is required or can be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
• CDL within 6 months of employment or already held.

Responsabilités

• Participates in maintenance crews for streets and drainage.
• Conducts street/drainage maintenance and repairs using required equipment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment; reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assists in flagging traffic around work sites.
• Operates light and heavy machinery per safety guidelines.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests during and after hours when on call.
