Sceye is seeking a Software Architect to define and evolve the software architecture for its stratospheric HAPS fleet. You will own the technical vision across avionics, ground systems, mission operations, and data platforms, ensuring the software is scalable, reliable, and ready for rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in an architect or senior technical leadership role.
• Proven track record designing large-scale, distributed, real-time or safety-critical systems.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern backend language and familiarity with others.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the software architecture powering HAPS fleet.
• Set technical direction and coding standards for distributed teams.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and patterns to support scale and reliability.
• Lead architecture reviews and design documentation for major systems.
• Mentor engineers and drive alignment across teams.
• Address cybersecurity, data integrity, and regulatory considerations.
