Job summary

Via is seeking a Strategy & Operations Associate Principal to lead onsite operations within our Fort Worth/Dallas area team. You’ll manage a local field operations team, drive continuous improvements, and oversee service quality for riders.

This is a fully in-person role requiring 4-5 days onsite, with possible early mornings or evenings. You’ll use data to optimize fleet, driver supply, and compliance while developing a high-performing driver workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of leadership/ops experience.
• Experience leading driver/workforce teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily onsite operations to provide safe, reliable transportation for riders.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs and issues.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle for drivers (scheduling, PTO, inquiries, performance conversations).
• Coordinate driver work schedules to meet demand.
• Bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, community leaders and local organizations.
• Use data to understand service performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing driver team.

Strategy & Operations Associate Principal

As a Strategy & Operations Associate Principal on Via’s Operations team, you’ll be responsible for managing operations using our innovative technology platform. You’ll manage a team of local field operators focused on daily operations, driving continuous operational and quality improvements, and growing our services.

This is a fully in-person position with the expectation that you will be onsite 4-5 days per week. There may be a need for early mornings or evenings.

What You'll Do

• Manage the daily onsite operations of our service. You’ll make sure our operations run smoothly to provide our riders with safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make informed, real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and unexpected issues - stepping in quickly to ensure continuously excellent and dependable service.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle for drivers — scheduling, PTO approvals, daily inquiries, performance conversations, and adherence to workplace policies.
• Manage driver work schedules to ensure the appropriate amount of vehicles are in service at any given time to meet demand expectations.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, community leaders, local organizations to help bring the community's goals to life.
• Use data and technology to understand service performance, diagnose problems, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and rider experience.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local and company policies, procedures and regulations on service operations.
• Lead, coach and develop an engaged team of drivers, fostering a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic environment.

Who You Are

• Strategic leader with a minimum of 3+ years of experience and hold a Bachelor's degree.

Compensation and Benefits

• Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
• Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 / year.
