Luminai, based in San Francisco or New York, is seeking a Strategy Lead to shape where we invest in healthcare AI-driven workflows. You will collaborate with leadership, Product, Engineering, Deployment, and Commercial teams to identify high-value domains, define use cases, and translate market insight into a clear strategic direction.

This high‑ownership role blends strategy, product development, and execution, turning complex healthcare workflows into reliable, governed AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience across strategy consulting, product, healthcare operations, business development, company-building, or related leadership roles
• Significant healthcare experience with exposure to health systems and how they buy and operate
• Strong product instincts with experience shaping real products or workflows, connecting market opportunity to execution
• Demonstrated track record of excellence in demanding environments
• Ability to independently drive complex, cross-functional work from problem definition through recommendation and execution
• Evidence of independent business development judgment, spotting opportunities and turning them into momentum
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Bonus: AI, workflow automation, enterprise software, or healthcare technology experience
• Bonus: Experience with forward-deployed teams and health system operators to connect strategy with production processes
• SF Bay Area or NYC preferred; relocation support available

Responsibilities

• Research promising domains and workflow areas for Luminai and assess attractiveness based on customer needs, market opportunity, competition, and fit with capabilities
• Develop clear points of view on which use cases to prioritize and how to win within a domain
• Build understanding of the competitive landscape and articulate differentiation to guide the roadmap
• Help shape packaging, positioning, and go-to-market across buyers and stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to inform roadmap direction and represent the customer perspective
• Build relationships with domain experts and operators to sharpen thinking and speed learning
• Support early product work with the commercial team, including customer conversations and strategic deals
• Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities and selectively forge relationships to accelerate product and market goals
• Own ambiguous, high-priority problems from open questions to clear recommendations
