Job summary

Novartis seeks a Director-level US Strategy Engagement Lead based in East Hanover, NJ. This role translates the pillar lead’s agenda into structured projects with aligned stakeholders, delivering decision-ready recommendations and execution handoffs within US commercial enterprise strategy.

You will own engagements, drive annual/quarterly strategic planning, perform market and competitive synthesis, and oversee workplans, governance, and KPI linkage. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
• Advanced degree (MS and/or MBA) preferred.
• 8+ years of consulting, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, or relevant pharma/healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of strategic framing, issue trees, hypotheses, opportunity sizing, and US commercial enterprise strategy narratives.
• Coordinate functional strategy inputs and pressure-test whether functional plans ladder to US commercial enterprise priorities.
• Synthesize market, customer, competitor, policy, portfolio, financial, and operating model inputs into clear strategic choices.
• Prepare US LT-ready recommendations, strategic options, and trade-off narratives.
• Coach AD and Manager resources; ensure analyses, narratives, and stakeholder processes meet executive quality standards.
