Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an Analyst, Strategy and Economics to support Transmission initiatives. You will assist in electricity market simulations, data analysis, and industry research to help enable clean energy growth.

The role focuses on tracking, reporting, and estimating carbon emissions in the power sector, with potential future work on software tracking carbon flows on the transmission network. A hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, or finance is required.
• 3–5 years of related experience in the field.
• Experience with ISO New England wholesale electricity markets or transmission planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the team's economic analysis with a focus on production cost and capacity expansion modeling.
• Research, analyze, and document power sector modeling input assumptions and simulation results.
• Support carbon flow modeling software development, testing, and implementation.
• Support implementation of process improvement initiatives related to economic analysis.
• Support other groups within Eversource through research and ad hoc data analysis.
• Track federal and state clean energy policies and transmission development opportunities.
• Develop reports, prepare presentations, write procedures, and perform other activities as needed.
