Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine seeks a Chief Accreditation and Strategy Officer to lead strategic planning, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, AI strategy, data-informed decision support, and CQI initiatives for the Deans Office.

As a member of the Dean/CEOs senior leadership team, the CASO oversees data governance and accreditation with LCME, BPPE, and WSCUC, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years in strategy, education accreditation, quality improvement, or healthcare administration.
• Minimum eight years supervising a team and leading cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and translate long-term goals into actionable priorities and measurable objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to advance strategic initiatives and align with budget, operations, and accreditation requirements.
• Advise unit leaders on their unit-level strategies to align with institutional goals.
• Conduct benchmarking to inform strategic direction and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to support informed decision-making.
• Oversee institutional effectiveness through data governance, dashboards, and CQI practices.
• Lead accreditation activities to ensure LCME, BPPE, and WSCUC standards are met.
• Assist with AI governance and data-informed decision making across the school.
• Guide high-impact projects sponsored by the Deans Office and manage staff development.
