Job summary

National Grid plc seeks a Lead Specialist in Workforce Planning and Scheduling at our Northport, NY location. You will manage the MSD administrative and scheduling functions, oversee procurement and training programs, and coordinate recruitment and onboarding with HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years related work experience.
• Associate-degree holders considered with 7+ years experience.
• Strong administrative and supervisory skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must be familiar with Maximo, SAP, Fiori, Hanna; BI reporting and MS Office.
• Knowledge of P6 scheduling and estimating techniques or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Outage Supply Chain procurement and PO management with cross-functional interfaces.
• Coordinate weekly roving maintenance schedules and manpower planning.
• Lead MSD clerical and workforce admin including timekeeping, payroll issues, and records.
• Coordinate recruitment onboarding and job requisitions with HR.
• Schedule mechanics and supervisors for safety and regulatory training.
• Manage absence reporting and HR data alignment; support safety programs.
• Maintain MSD database and reporting; liaise with HR and union partners.
• Execute miscellaneous projects at director level guidance.
