Job summary

National Grid in Northport, NY is looking for a Lead Specialist, Workforce Planning and Scheduling to manage MSD administrative support and payroll processes while coordinating weekly rosters for a roving maintenance workforce.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent in business/technical discipline, experience with Maximo, SAP, and P6 scheduling, and the ability to lead multiple projects with cross-functional teams across plants on Long Island.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a technical discipline is required.
Strong administrative, supervisory and communication skills; ability to lead multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee MSD administrative support, including timekeeping, payroll, and records management.
Produce weekly rosters for roving maintenance crews and manage overtime tracking.
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and job postings with HR and managers.
Schedule mechanics and supervisors for skills, safety, and regulatory training.
Manage safety administration, monthly safety committee activities, and safety reporting.
Maintain a MS Access database of division personnel data and integrate with corporate systems.
Handle procurement and P.O. administration for outside services and materials.
Support leave, attendance, and absence reporting for MSD personnel.
