Job summary

Ozarks Technical Community College is seeking a Business Development Specialist to collaborate with area employers, identify workforce training needs, and connect them with tailored solutions. You will build employer relationships, uncover new business opportunities, and manage training programs from initial meetings through delivery.

The role emphasizes coordinating logistics, developing proposals, scheduling classes, and maintaining partner communications to help meet business and revenue

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Interest or experience in sales, account management, or customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact for local employers seeking workforce training solutions.
• Support the delivery of customized training programs at employer sites or college facilities.
• Support new program delivery to meet the changing needs of the regional workforce.
• Meet directly with companies to assess training needs and match them with appropriate instructional solutions.
• Assist in developing training outlines and scopes of work in response to employer requests.
• Schedule classes, secure instructors, and coordinate space, equipment, and materials for training sessions.
• Work closely with instructors and Business Development Manager to ensure delivery of high-quality, hands-on training that aligns with employer expectations.
• Track participation, gather feedback, and follow up with employers to ensure satisfaction and identify future needs.
• Develop pricing and proposals for customized training contracts.
• Regularly visit job sites, shop floors, and training locations to support active programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely information in client relationship software.
• Actively participate in prospecting potential industry partners resulting in net new opportunities.
• Support recruiting efforts for new instructors and subject matter experts.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with college policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees, and attending community events, when necessary.
