Qualifications

• Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience in business/industry, human services, education or a related field.
• One year of professional experience in a related role in education, human services, or business.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with program participants, staff and the general public.
• Knowledge and experience using Google Suites, MS Word and Excel.
• Good organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Reliability and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work with a diverse population, staff, and community members with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Make contact with local and regional employers to develop job and career opportunities and job leads for MCC students and participants.
• Facilitate job club and career exploration activities to prepare participants for employment.
• Provide technical and professional services to employers and participants to meet program outcomes.
• Work with staff to develop and monitor ISS, Educational Development Plans, and career plans.
• Inform employers of MCC employment services and verify skill gaps and training needs.
• Identify and pursue new employment leads via job fairs, cold calls, networking and e-recruiting.
