Job summary

FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, MI, is seeking a seasoned Risk Manager to lead the workers’ compensation program and advance safety initiatives across the casino and hotel properties.

You will manage claims, ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with leadership to reduce loss exposures while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA/cyber standards. Travel may be required for training.

Qualifications

• Six years combination of education and claims adjuster experience.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to obtain CWCP and OSHA 10 Hour certification within six months.
• Must be insurable to operate a company vehicle and be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the worker’s compensation program and manage claims investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and implement safety programs.
• Assist the Director of Risk Management and supervise the Risk Coordinator duties.
• Conduct daily safety inspections across Casino/Hotel properties to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA/cyber compliance; support training and reporting.
