Job summary

McLane Global is seeking an Order Planner to coordinate urgent order releases for our USDA Warehouse Operation in Henderson, Colorado. You will review demand, inventory and capacity, and partner with warehouse operations, inventory control, customer service, and transportation to ensure on-time orders and accurate system records.

Responsibilities include building daily plans, reviewing and releasing orders, monitoring progress through picking and shipment, and identifying process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, planning, logistics, or supply chain.
• Experience with ERP/WMS or warehouse execution system.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain daily and near-term order plans based on customer requirements, inventory, labor, dock capacity, carrier schedules, and service commitments.
• Review open orders for completeness, allocation, holds, due dates, and readiness; resolve exceptions before release.
• Prioritize and release orders in the ERP/WMS in coordination with warehouse leadership, balancing throughput and priorities.
• Monitor order progress from release to shipment; adjust plans and communicate changes as needed.
• Collaborate with inventory control to address shortages and location issues affecting fulfillment.
• Coordinate with transportation and customer service on shipping windows and order changes.
• Maintain planning data and status in systems; prepare daily work queues and handoff reports.
• Analyze backlog, release timing, order aging, and capacity trends; propose data-driven improvements.
• Follow customer contracts, food safety requirements, inventory handling rules, and SOPs.
