Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Olive Branch, Mississippi, is seeking an Operations Manager I to lead the daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. You will schedule and delegate work, drive long-range planning, and ensure safety and process adherence while coordinating with carriers and suppliers.

The role emphasizes building a positive, innovative team, managing budgets, improving quality, and mentoring staff through training and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a Distribution/Logistics/Warehouse environment with at least 3 years in staff management.
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics or related discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• First-Aid or CPR certification would be an asset.
• Advanced MS Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with inventory control and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a medium-sized warehouse.
• Schedule and delegate work for the operations team.
• Drive long-range manufacturing operations planning by overseeing all manufacturing activities.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems.
• Develop employees in Operations including training and performance reviews.
• Manage the facilities operation budget and achieve standards.
• Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents.
• Coach employees on proper processes and safe work practices.
• Ensure safety and health compliance and proper reporting.
• Coordinate carrier, supplier, and service vendor communications.
• Maintain high inbound/outbound transport service levels at low cost.
• Negotiate carrier contracts and monitor routing compliance.
• Monitor vendor routing, lead times and costs.
• Occasional travel and after-hours work as required.
