Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Olive Branch, MS is seeking an Operations Manager – Manufacturing to lead day-to-day warehouse operations, schedule and delegate work for the operations team, and drive long-range planning for manufacturing activities.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, policy development, and safety compliance, with about five years in logistics or warehouse environments and at least three years of supervision.

Qualifications

• Five years in a Distribution/Logistics/Warehouse environment with at least three years of staff management experience (~25 employees + temporary labor)
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics or related field preferred
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
• First-Aid or CPR certification would be asset
• Advanced skills in MS Office, Access and proficient in Outlook and PowerPoint
• Experience with order entry, fulfillment, process development and inventory control
• Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a medium sized warehouse
• Schedule and delegate work for the operations team
• Drive long-range strategic planning for Operations by overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations activities
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems
• Develop employees in Operations including training, productivity, policies and annual reviews
• Manage facilities operation budget and achieve operational standards
• Foster a positive and innovative work environment
• Conduct accident and incident investigations and reporting
• Coach employees on proper processes, safe work practices and teamwork
• Coordinate dock operations and shipment preparation with priority timelines
• Improve quality performance standards
• Control warehouse inventory, equipment and consumables
• Develop material schedules and coordinate material movement
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, vendors and temp labor
• Maintain high inbound/outbound service levels at low cost
• Negotiate carrier contracts
• Monitor vendor routing and inbound lead times
• Ensure compliance with internal process controls
• Work safely and report hazards; flexible with travel and after-hours work
