Job summary

HYVE Solutions seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations in a hybrid setting based in Olive Branch, MS. The role focuses on cost improvements, policy implementation, and staff development to meet productivity targets.

You will manage budgets, supervise a team, and ensure safety, inventory control, and timely shipments. Strong leadership and logistics experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Distribution/Logistics/Warehouse environment with minimum three years of staff management (≈25 employees + temporary labor)
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics or related discipline preferred
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
• First-Aid or CPR certification would be an asset
• Proven experience in a computerized order entry and fulfillment environment
• Experience in process development, re-engineering and quality control
• Experience with cyclical inventory audit processes and inventory control
• Strong organizational, time-management and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a medium sized warehouse
• Schedule and delegate work for the operations team
• Focus on cost improvements
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems
• Development of employees in Operations including training, productivity, policies and annual reviews
• Manage the facilities operation budget and achieve all standards and guidelines
• Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment
• Investigate and report accidents and incidents
• Coach employees on proper processes and safety
• Dock security and shipment preparation
• Quality performance standards improvement
• Control of warehouse inventory, equipment and consumables
• Develop materials schedules and coordinate material movement
• External communication with carriers, suppliers, service vendors and labor agencies
• Maintain inbound/outbound transportation service levels at low cost
• Carrier contract negotiation
• Vendor routing compliance monitoring
• Ensure compliance with internal process controls
• Work safely and report hazards and violations
• Occasional travel and after-hours/weekend work as required
