Job summary

Buckhead/Newport Meat & Seafood is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee product flow, safeguard quality, and control inventory and expenses within a warehouse setting.

You will lead staffing, supervise payroll, conduct safety inspections, ensure OSHA compliance, and drive efficiency in material handling while coordinating with internal teams. A strong background in distribution/manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four-year degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of warehouse management experience in distribution/manufacturing.
• Strong employee relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, direct, and discipline warehouse personnel to optimize manpower and equipment use.
• Process weekly payroll.
• Perform daily sanitation and safety inspections.
• Ensure security, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment and building.
• Perform cycle counting and reconciliations.
• Process invoices and manage expenses.
• Suggest improvements in material handling to boost efficiency and lower costs.
• Manage productivity and order accuracy to achieve high warehouse service levels.
• Maintain communication with other departments and company personnel.
• Ensure OSHA compliance in warehouse operations.
• Follow Buckhead/Newport Meat & Seafood compliance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Review receiving to identify outs, stock issues and quality concerns.
• Organize paperwork for outbound shifts.
• Review delivery adjustments and reconcile.
• Conduct routine warehouse meetings and maintain safety programs.
• Participate in safety committee.
