Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a Production Manager to oversee Production and Production Warehouse across multiple locations, driving budgets, staffing, safety and engagement. You will lead planning, scheduling, and performance metrics, coordinate with IT for systems, and mentor Supervisors to deliver high productivity and quality while aligning with company policies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Production/Manufacturing in a food environment with leadership experience.
• High School diploma or GED required; BS preferred.
• HACCP and GMP certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with ERP/WMS and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Determine headcount and labor utilization to achieve production and business goals.
• Schedule equipment and team resources to support each production plan.
• Track component yield rates to meet business goals.
• Manage work orders and ensure audits and closures align with fiscal periods.
• Set performance metrics for departments and monitor productivity.
• Ensure metrics support business goals and benchmark against internal/external resources.
• Develop and monitor annual department budgets and manage expenses vs. budget.
• Coach and develop Supervisors and teams to balance productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Maintain safe work environment; participate in staff selection and evaluations.
• Establish performance goals and provide feedback; manage performance and corrective actions.
• Coordinate training and work with HR on policy changes and safety.
