Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Warehouse Distribution Manager in Richmond, VA to lead daily warehouse operations, ensure safe handling of materials, and drive efficiency across inventory and production support. You will supervise teams, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of manufacturing warehousing experience, a bachelor’s in a related field, and strong ERP/analytical skills.

Qualifications

Requires High School diploma, preferably a bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain.
At least 15 years of training and experience.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with warehouse management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure safe receipt, storage, retrieval and dispatch of goods.
Lead and develop warehouse teams; train, allocate work and resolve issues.
Ensure health, safety, security and compliance across the warehouse.
Plan goods layout and optimize warehouse space and inventory control.
Manage receiving and auditing procedures; generate Purchase Orders and Material Transfers.
Develop procedures, supervise forklift certification and training.
Maintain ERP/MRP knowledge and cross-train staff for continuity.
Monitor productivity targets and conduct performance evaluations.
