Job summary

Kilroy Realty Corporation in Los Angeles seeks a Vice President, Technical Accounting & Policies to lead the company's technical accounting and policy functions, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer and partnering with Finance, Investments and Legal.

This role focuses on complex transactions, U.S. GAAP guidance, and governance, with opportunities to shape policy, mentor teams, and drive process improvements in a dynamic real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience in Big Four and/or industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting for real estate, leases, acquisitions, impairments, consolidations, VIE, debt/equity.
• Experience researching complex transactions and documenting accounting conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting and policy functions.
• Provide guidance on significant transactions to senior management.
• Coordinate with external auditors on technical matters.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and governance.
