Job summary

Kilroy Realty Corporation in Los Angeles is seeking a strategic VP to lead Accounting Transformation, driving modernization across systems, processes, data strategies, and analytics. You will partner with the CFO and Chief Accounting Officer to champion enterprise-wide change and elevate the accounting function for long-term business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or transformation leadership.
• Proven success in leading digital transformation and process optimization initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Yardi), analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau), and emerging technologies (AI/RPA).
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, communication, and change management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for modernizing legacy systems and driving innovation.
• Active CPA license and mix of public/private experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead data strategy and analytics enablement for financial and operational reporting.
• Provide ad-hoc technical accounting guidance on complex decisions such as lease revenue recognition and JV structuring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Property Management, and Internal Audit to improve processes.
• Represent Accounting in enterprise transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Identify and implement tools, systems, and training to boost team agility and innovation.
• Strengthen governance, data ownership, and controls to maintain reliable financial data.
