Job summary

Colen Built Development/On Top of the World in Ocala, FL seeks a Vice President of Finance to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, insurance, and internal controls for construction and land development operations.

This senior executive partners with the CEO and boards, evaluates development initiatives, drives profitability, and mentors the finance team while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• CPA designation is preferred for risk mitigation.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including construction/land development.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Advise executive leadership with strategic financial guidance across development projects.
• Develop financial models and ROI analyses for multi-phase residential development.
• Oversee capital planning, debt structuring, and banking relationships.
• Mentor finance and accounting teams and ensure internal controls.
