Jobot seeks a VP, Corporate Counsel – Specialty Reinsurance to lead complex corporate matters in a fully remote role, preferably near CT or ET. You will guide business leaders on regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity issues while shaping governance materials and board communications.

The role requires a JD with an active bar license and 10–15 years in corporate counsel, ideally in insurance or reinsurance, with a strong writing ability and prioritization skills.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar license.
• 10–15 years of corporate counsel experience, ideally in insurance or reinsurance.
• Data privacy, cybersecurity, or employment law experience is a strong plus.
• Practical, business‑minded judgment and excellent writing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, growing company.

Responsabilités

• Advise business leaders on corporate, regulatory, cybersecurity, data privacy, AI, employment, and tax matters.
• Draft board resolutions, prepare board materials, and coordinate board and shareholder communications.
• Review financial statement notes, management representation letters, and audit materials.
• Lead vendor contract review and negotiation, including vendor due diligence.
• Support Holding Company Act and other regulatory filings.
• Support M&A and strategic initiatives, including legal due diligence.
• Build and maintain compliance programs, policies, and training.
