Long Beach City College seeks a visionary Vice President, Workforce and Economic Development to lead the district's economic and workforce development mission, supervise staff, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet regional business needs.

Qualifications

Master’s degree required; leadership experience in an administrative role.
Evidence of sensitivity to diverse student populations and commitment to equity.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

Provide strong, dynamic administrative leadership guiding workforce and economic development.
Guide grants, economic and workforce development initiatives and partnerships to meet regional needs.
Develop policy, procedures and programs aligned with district goals and statewide directives.
Collaborate with K-12, colleges and industry to articulate pathways between academics and workforce outcomes.
Identify revenue opportunities and manage projects supporting the college mission.
Engage in governance, advocacy, and marketing to promote district programs and services.
