Job summary

LA28 seeks a Senior Manager, Venue Security Planning & Operations to lead security design and operations for a cluster of Olympic venues in Los Angeles. This role partners with the Safety & Security Team, public safety agencies, and venue stakeholders to deliver integrated security plans while minimizing disruption to event operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in venue security, 3-5 years of supervisory experience, and strong communication skills, with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in a fast-paced venue safety/security role.
• 3-5 years of personnel supervisory/management experience.
• Proven cross-functional security planning and collaboration.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop security plans for a cluster of Olympic venues in collaboration with multiple teams and agencies.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to create unified security plans.
• Lead planning for Pre-Games Test Events with stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison between Safety & Security and venue/ government contacts.
• Contribute to risk assessments and implement approved security plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices for event security.
• Oversee and deliver Security Operations Plans at assigned venues during Games time.
• Assist recruitment and supervise Venue Security Managers within the cluster.
• Chair planning meetings, draft reports, and create policy/procedure documents.
