Job summary

Sourgum in Jersey City is seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager to grow and manage our network of partnered vendors. You will work closely with Sales and Operations to maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction for both vendors and customers.

The role requires exceptional communication, proactive relationship management, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in account management, vendor management, procurement, or sales within a B2B environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with vendors and internal teams.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable adapting to evolving technologies and processes.
Willingness to commute to Jersey City, NJ four days a week.

Responsibilities

Nurture relationships with partnered vendors and coordinate between vendors and internal teams to maximize satisfaction.
Source and onboard new vendors based on company needs.
Ensure vendor compliance with Sourgum’s systems and procedures.
Monitor service quality and address underperforming vendors promptly.
Support Account Executive by negotiating favorable rates for projects.
Serve as liaison with hauling partners during the sales cycle.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to support growth.
