Job summary

Heritage Industries is seeking a Resource & Production Planner in Utah to own the scheduling engine for our vehicle upfitting business. You will plan and sequence work across technicians, bays, parts, and subcontracted operations to ensure on-time jobs with materials staged and people and space available.

The ideal candidate will think in terms of capacity, constraints, and material availability, while continually improving build times, bay utilization, and schedule stability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production/resource planning, scheduling, or materials planning.
• Solid understanding of MRP concepts: demand vs supply, lead times, safety stock.
• Strong communication and ability to coordinate across shop, parts, and sales.
• Proficient in Excel for ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the master schedule for all upfitting jobs and sequencing against bays and capacity.
• Run MRP in Business Central to ensure parts are available before scheduled builds.
• Assign and load-balance technicians and bays by skill and job complexity.
• Monitor open orders and identify conflicts before delays occur.
• Collaborate with Purchasing/Parts to expedite shortages and with Shop/Field leads to resequence work.
• Maintain accurate lead times, routings, and capacities in BC for reliable outputs.
• Produce capacity and schedule adherence reports for leadership.
• Support S&OP conversations translating sales backlog into production plans.
• Continuously improve planning processes, build times, and schedule stability.
