Job summary

Sakata Ornamentals is seeking a Woodland, CA-based Demand Planner to balance supply and demand for the portfolio. You will forecast demand and manage intercompany procurement of finished goods, ensuring alignment with sales and operations.

The role involves CPFR coordination, inventory monitoring, and KPI reporting to support S&OP. A strong background in MPS/MRP, Excel forecasting, and ERP experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory planning.
• Experience with S&OP/CPFR processes.
• Proficient in Excel-based planning and forecasting tools.
• Strong collaboration with Sales, Operations and Finance.
• ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate 36-month statistical sales and supply forecasts.
• Lead demand review with sales and finance to align unconstrained forecasts.
• Execute CPFR with Sakata internal vendors.
• Develop constrained sales plans from demand reviews and CPFR outputs.
• Support annual Sales Budget and Latest Estimate with realistic forecasts.
• Manage finished goods procurement, create POs and track delivery dates.
• Monitor inventory levels against demand using MRP tools.
• Provide KPI reports and supply status for S&OP processes.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service and Product Management on supply plans.
• Assist New Product Introduction by ensuring seed availability.
• Ensure forecasts align with product life cycle and phase-out plans.
