Job summary

ISOutsource is seeking an experienced vCISO to guide client cybersecurity programs, governance, and risk management. You will lead roadmaps, ISMS development, and regulatory compliance efforts while collaborating with Sales Engineering and client teams.

The role emphasizes executive communication, strategy translation for non-technical leaders, and delivering measurable security outcomes across multiple clients with travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication abilities.

• Proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience building trusted advisor relationships with executives.
• Bachelor-level degree or higher in a technology-related field and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level cybersecurity consulting and strategic guidance to clients.
• Develop and manage cybersecurity roadmaps, security programs, and ISMS.
• Lead governance, risk assessments, gap analyses, risk registers, and remediation priorities.
• Guide clients on regulatory and framework requirements (NIST, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2).
• Support audit readiness, compliance assessments, and third-party reviews.
• Lead incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and strategic guidance during incidents.
• Present program updates and recommendations to client leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams to turn strategy into action.
