Job summary

Control Southern is seeking an Operations Manager for its Valve & Mechanical Services facility to oversee valve repair and machining operations, ensure quality, and manage P&L. You will coordinate scheduling, engineering, budgets, production, material control and purchasing to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.

You will lead supervisors and staff, enforce NBIC safety standards, and develop strong process controls across multiple projects and teams.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of valve repair/machining equipment and shop practices.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of NBIC regulatory requirements and safety practices.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and budgets.
• Proven leadership skills and capability to motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage Valve Repair/machining activities with focus on safety, quality, production, profit, and cost.
• Coordinate inventory and purchasing to ensure material availability and efficient use of resources.
• Assign work, set schedules, inspect performance, and oversee staff.
• Direct supervision of Valve Repair personnel and ensure training/certification compliance.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for valve testing and repair.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; allocate space and plan equipment upgrades as needed.
• Provide and maintain accurate production timelines and on-time shipment planning.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance.
