Job summary

Control Southern is seeking an Operations Manager for Valve & Mechanical Services to oversee the valve repair and machining facility, driving efficient operation, quality, and P&L management across scheduling, budgets, production, material and document control, and purchases while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in valve repair/machining and production planning.
• Familiar with NBIC regulatory requirements and safety practices.
• Ability to lead teams and manage schedules and budgets.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all valve repair/machining activities with focus on safety, quality, profit and cost.
• Coordinate and supervise activities including inventory and purchasing to ensure product availability and efficient use of materials.
• Assign work, set schedules, inspect work and evaluate performance.
• Direct supervision of production personnel and plan schedules for lead hands and machinists.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet quality requirements.
• Ensure personnel are certified and trained; enforce safety guidelines.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; recommend major equipment additions or modifications.
• Maintain accurate valve repair timelines and production goals; monitor and schedule jobs for on-time shipments.
• Enforce company safety procedures and policies.
